Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

ASEAN League round 9 most important game was a victory of Zhuhai over 6th ranked Macau 97-95 on Tuesday night. It was a good game for American forward Julian Boyd (201-90, college: LIU Brooklyn) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Douglas Herring-Jr (191-87, college: Utica) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. American swingman Kenny Manigault (196-91, college: Pikeville) answered with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 8 assists for Macau. Zhuhai (5-7) moved-up to fifth place. Macau lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Zhuhai will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Macau will play at home against WM Dragons (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Ninth-ranked Singapore Slingers (3-5) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Thailand Mono Vampire (8-3). The visitors from Bangkok managed to secure only two-point victory 67-65. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Singapore Slingers. American players dominated the game. Forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and Mike Morrison chipped in 7 points and 14 rebounds. The best for the losing side was center Anthony McClain (211-88, college: Cincinnati) with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 23 rebounds and 6 blocks. Mono Vampire keeps a position of league leader. Singapore Slingers at the other side dropped to the bottom place with five games lost. They share the position with Saigon H. and Hong Kong ELL. Mono Vampire will play against Alab Pilipinas (#3) in Manila in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Singapore Slingers will play on the road against Hong Kong ELL (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Hong Kong between Filipino Alab Pilipinas and Hong Kong Hong Kong ELL. Fourth ranked Alab Pilipinas (6-3) got a very close victory on the road over 8th ranked Hong Kong ELL (3-5). Alab Pilipinas managed to escape with a 1-point win 77-76 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hong Kong ELL. Nick King nailed 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Alab Pilipinas' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Brandis Raley-Ross came up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 8 assists for Hong Kong ELL in the defeat. Defending Filipino champion moved-up to third place. Loser Hong Kong ELL keeps the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Singapore S. and Saigon H.. Alab Pilipinas will meet league's leader Mono Vampire in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hong Kong ELL will play against Singapore Slingers (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Fourth ranked Alab Pilipinas (6-3) got a very close victory on the road over 8th ranked Hong Kong ELL (3-5). Alab Pilipinas managed to escape with a 1-point win 77-76 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hong Kong ELL. Alab Pilipinas looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Hong Kong ELL's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Alab Pilipinas made 9 blocks. American forward Nick King (201-95, college: MTSU) nailed 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and American-Filipino point guard Jason Brickman (181-91, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 2 points, 7 rebounds and 16 assists.
